महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-54, verse-6

ते वध्यमानाश्च नरेन्द्रमुख्या निर्भिन्ना वै भीमसेनप्रवेकैः ।
भीमं समन्तात्समरेऽध्यरोहन्वृक्षं शकुन्ता इव पुष्पहेतोः ॥६॥
6. te vadhyamānāśca narendramukhyā; nirbhinnā vai bhīmasenapravekaiḥ ,
bhīmaṁ samantātsamare'dhyaroha;nvṛkṣaṁ śakuntā iva puṣpahetoḥ.

nirbhinnāḥ vai bhīmasenapravekaiḥ
bhīmam samantāt samare adhyārohan
vṛkṣam śakuntāḥ iva puṣpahetoḥ

6. Even while being struck down and indeed pierced by the excellent arrows of Bhīmasena, those principal kings swarmed Bhīma from all sides in battle, just as birds ascend a tree for the sake of its flowers.
