महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-20, verse-24

शक्तिं विनिहतां दृष्ट्वा पुत्रस्तव विशां पते ।
नवभिर्निशितैर्भल्लैर्निजघान युधिष्ठिरम् ॥२४॥
24. śaktiṁ vinihatāṁ dṛṣṭvā putrastava viśāṁ pate ,
navabhirniśitairbhallairnijaghāna yudhiṣṭhiram.

navabhiḥ niśitaiḥ bhallaiḥ nijaghāna yudhiṣṭhiram

24. O lord of people (viśām pati), your son, having seen the spear (śakti) destroyed, struck Yudhiṣṭhira with nine sharpened arrows.
