महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-26, verse-16

सा हि दुर्योधनस्यासीन्मतिः कर्णस्य चोभयोः ।
अर्जुनस्य वधोपाये तेन द्वैधमकल्पयत् ॥१६॥
16. sā hi duryodhanasyāsīnmatiḥ karṇasya cobhayoḥ ,
arjunasya vadhopāye tena dvaidhamakalpayat.

arjunasya vadhopāye tena dvaidham akalpayat
16. hi sā matiḥ duryodhanasya karṇasya ca ubhayoḥ

16. Indeed, that was the intention of both Duryodhana and Karṇa: a strategy for the killing of Arjuna. Therefore, he (Arjuna) created a two-fold situation (dvaidha) or dilemma.
