महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-147, verse-25

हीनाङ्गं पृथिवीपालं नाभिनन्दन्ति देवताः ।
इति कृत्वा नृपश्रेष्ठं प्रत्यषेधन्द्विजर्षभाः ॥२५॥
25. hīnāṅgaṁ pṛthivīpālaṁ nābhinandanti devatāḥ ,
iti kṛtvā nṛpaśreṣṭhaṁ pratyaṣedhandvijarṣabhāḥ.

iti kṛtvā nṛpaśreṣṭham pratyaṣedhan dvijarṣabhāḥ
25. devatāḥ hīnāṅgam pṛthivīpālam na abhinandanti

25. "The deities do not approve of a physically deficient king (pṛthivīpāla)." Having stated this, the chief Brahmins (dvijarṣabhāḥ) prohibited the best of kings (Devāpi).
