महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-147, verse-24

एवं वदान्यो धर्मज्ञः सत्यसंधश्च सोऽभवत् ।
प्रियः प्रजानामपि संस्त्वग्दोषेण प्रदूषितः ॥२४॥
24. evaṁ vadānyo dharmajñaḥ satyasaṁdhaśca so'bhavat ,
priyaḥ prajānāmapi saṁstvagdoṣeṇa pradūṣitaḥ.
24. evam vadānyaḥ dharmajñaḥ satyasaṃdhaḥ ca saḥ abhavat
priyaḥ prajānām api san tvagdoṣeṇa pradūṣitaḥ

prajānām priyaḥ api san tvagdoṣeṇa pradūṣitaḥ
24. Thus, he (Devāpi) was generous, knew (dharma), and was true to his word. Even though he was dear to the people, he was afflicted by a skin defect.
