महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-102, verse-25

पुरंदरोऽथ संचिन्त्य वैनतेयपराक्रमम् ।
विष्णुमेवाब्रवीदेनं भवानेव ददात्विति ॥२५॥
25. puraṁdaro'tha saṁcintya vainateyaparākramam ,
viṣṇumevābravīdenaṁ bhavāneva dadātviti.
25. purandaraḥ atha saṃcintya vainateyaparākramam
viṣṇum eva abravīt enam bhavān eva dadātu iti
25. Then Indra, having carefully considered the immense power of Garuḍa, said to Viṣṇu, "Only Your Lordship should grant this."
