महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-102, verse-12

कण्व उवाच ।
स तु दीनः प्रहृष्टश्च प्राह नारदमार्यकः ।
व्रियमाणे तथा पौत्रे पुत्रे च निधनं गते ॥१२॥
12. kaṇva uvāca ,
sa tu dīnaḥ prahṛṣṭaśca prāha nāradamāryakaḥ ,
vriyamāṇe tathā pautre putre ca nidhanaṁ gate.

12. Kaṇva said: Then Āryaka, both dejected and joyful, spoke to Nārada when his grandson was being sought for marriage, and his own son had passed away.
