महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-168, verse-3

चूर्ण्यमानेऽश्मवर्षे तु पावकः समजायत ।
तत्राश्मचूर्णमपतत्पावकप्रकरा इव ॥३॥
3. cūrṇyamāne'śmavarṣe tu pāvakaḥ samajāyata ,
tatrāśmacūrṇamapatatpāvakaprakarā iva.
3. cūrṇyamāne aśmavarṣe tu pāvakaḥ samajāyata
tatra aśmacūrṇam apatat pāvakaprakarāḥ iva
3. But while the stone-rain was being crushed, fire (pāvaka) arose. Thereupon, the powdered stones fell like showers of fire.
