महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-168, verse-21

पितामहेन संहारः प्रजानां विहितो ध्रुवम् ।
न हि युद्धमिदं युक्तमन्यत्र जगतः क्षयात् ॥२१॥
21. pitāmahena saṁhāraḥ prajānāṁ vihito dhruvam ,
na hi yuddhamidaṁ yuktamanyatra jagataḥ kṣayāt.

hi yuddham idam yuktam anyatra jagataḥ kṣayāt
21. Indeed, this destruction of creatures was certainly ordained by the grandfather (Brahma). This war is not proper, except for the annihilation of the world.
