महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-115, verse-27

ततः प्रसादयामास श्वशुरं सा पुनः पुनः ।
न मे पुत्रो भवेदीदृक्कामं पौत्रो भवेदिति ॥२७॥
27. tataḥ prasādayāmāsa śvaśuraṁ sā punaḥ punaḥ ,
na me putro bhavedīdṛkkāmaṁ pautro bhavediti.
27. tataḥ prasādayāmāsa śvaśuram sā punaḥ punaḥ na
me putraḥ bhavet īdṛk kāmam pautraḥ bhavet iti
27. Then she repeatedly appeased her father-in-law, saying, 'May my son not be of such a nature; rather, let my grandson be so!'
