महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-38, verse-11

पञ्चचूडोवाच ।
कुलीना रूपवत्यश्च नाथवत्यश्च योषितः ।
मर्यादासु न तिष्ठन्ति स दोषः स्त्रीषु नारद ॥११॥
11. pañcacūḍovāca ,
kulīnā rūpavatyaśca nāthavatyaśca yoṣitaḥ ,
maryādāsu na tiṣṭhanti sa doṣaḥ strīṣu nārada.
11. pañcacūḍā uvāca kulīnāḥ rūpavatyaḥ ca nāthavatyaḥ ca
yoṣitaḥ maryādāsu na tiṣṭhanti saḥ doṣaḥ strīṣu nārada
11. pañcacūḍā uvāca: nārada,
kulīnāḥ rūpavatyaḥ ca nāthavatyaḥ ca yoṣitaḥ maryādāsu na tiṣṭhanti.

11. Pañcacūḍā said: 'Women, even those from noble families, who are beautiful, and who have husbands, do not adhere to proper conduct (maryādā). That is the fundamental flaw in women, O Nārada.'
