महाभारतः mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-87, verse-29

तस्मिन्निधीनादधीत प्रज्ञां पर्याददीत च ।
न चाप्यभीक्ष्णं सेवेत भृशं वा प्रतिपूजयेत् ॥२९॥

29. One should place confidence in him and acquire knowledge (prajñā) from him. However, one should neither engage with him too frequently nor honor him excessively.
