महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-24, verse-9

तमब्रवीत्तदा शङ्खस्तीव्रकोपसमन्वितः ।
स्तेयं त्वया कृतमिदं फलान्याददता स्वयम् ।
गच्छ राजानमासाद्य स्वकर्म प्रथयस्व वै ॥९॥
9. tamabravīttadā śaṅkhastīvrakopasamanvitaḥ ,
steyaṁ tvayā kṛtamidaṁ phalānyādadatā svayam ,
gaccha rājānamāsādya svakarma prathayasva vai.
9. tam abravīt tadā śaṅkhaḥ
tīvrakopasamanvitaḥ steyam tvayā kṛtam idam
phalāni ādadatā svayam gaccha

9. Then Śaṅkha, filled with intense anger, said to him: 'This theft has been committed by you, who took the fruits yourself. Go to the king, approach him, and indeed declare your own deed (karma).'
