महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-237, verse-20

अहिंसकः समः सत्यो धृतिमान्नियतेन्द्रियः ।
शरण्यः सर्वभूतानां गतिमाप्नोत्यनुत्तमाम् ॥२०॥
20. ahiṁsakaḥ samaḥ satyo dhṛtimānniyatendriyaḥ ,
śaraṇyaḥ sarvabhūtānāṁ gatimāpnotyanuttamām.

śaraṇyaḥ sarvabhūtānām gatim āpnoti anuttamām

20. A person who is non-violent, balanced, truthful, resolute, and has controlled senses, and who is a refuge for all beings, attains the unsurpassed state.
