महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-232, verse-13

मनसश्चेन्द्रियाणां च कृत्वैकाग्र्यं समाहितः ।
प्राग्रात्रापररात्रेषु धारयेन्मन आत्मना ॥१३॥
13. manasaścendriyāṇāṁ ca kṛtvaikāgryaṁ samāhitaḥ ,
prāgrātrāpararātreṣu dhārayenmana ātmanā.

13. Being composed, and having made the mind and the senses one-pointed, one should hold the mind steady by the self (ātman) during the early and latter parts of the night.
