महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-201, verse-34

एवमेते महात्मानः स्थिताः प्रत्येकशो दिशः ।
एतेषां कीर्तनं कृत्वा सर्वपापैः प्रमुच्यते ॥३४॥
34. evamete mahātmānaḥ sthitāḥ pratyekaśo diśaḥ ,
eteṣāṁ kīrtanaṁ kṛtvā sarvapāpaiḥ pramucyate.

34. Thus, these great-souled ones (mahātman) are situated, each in their respective directions. Having recited their names, one is liberated from all sins.
