महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-169, verse-20

कृतानां फलमप्राप्तं कर्मणां फलसङ्गिनम् ।
क्षेत्रापणगृहासक्तं मृत्युरादाय गच्छति ॥२०॥
20. kṛtānāṁ phalamaprāptaṁ karmaṇāṁ phalasaṅginam ,
kṣetrāpaṇagṛhāsaktaṁ mṛtyurādāya gacchati.

kṣetrāpaṇagṛhāsaktam mṛtyuḥ ādāya gacchati

20. Death carries away a person who, though having performed many actions (karma), has not yet obtained the fruits of those actions, and who remains deeply attached to fields, markets, and homes.
