ययातिरुवाच ।
यत्त्वं मे हृदयाज्जातो वयः स्वं न प्रयच्छसि ।
तस्माद्द्रुह्यो प्रियः कामो न ते संपत्स्यते क्वचित् ॥१८॥

18. yayātiruvāca ,
yattvaṁ me hṛdayājjāto vayaḥ svaṁ na prayacchasi ,
tasmāddruhyo priyaḥ kāmo na te saṁpatsyate kvacit.

18. yat tvam me hṛdayāt jātaḥ vayaḥ svam na prayacchasi
tasmāt druhyo priyaḥ kāmaḥ na te saṃpatsyate kvacit

18. Because you, born from my heart, do not give your own youth, therefore, Druhyu, your beloved desire will never be fulfilled.
