उक्ता सकृद्द्वन्द्वमेषा लेभे तेनास्मि वञ्चिता ।
बिभेम्यस्याः परिभवान्नारीणां गतिरीदृशी ॥२३॥

23. uktā sakṛddvandvameṣā lebhe tenāsmi vañcitā ,
bibhemyasyāḥ paribhavānnārīṇāṁ gatirīdṛśī.

bibhemi asyāḥ paribhavāt nārīṇām gatiḥ īdṛśī

23. I was instructed to invoke [a deity] once, and she [Madri] obtained twins through that [invocation]. By this, I feel deceived. I fear humiliation from her. Such is indeed the fate of women.
