वैशंपायन उवाच ।
ततः सत्यवती काले वधूं स्नातामृतौ तदा ।
संवेशयन्ती शयने शनकैर्वाक्यमब्रवीत् ॥१॥

1. vaiśaṁpāyana uvāca ,
tataḥ satyavatī kāle vadhūṁ snātāmṛtau tadā ,
saṁveśayantī śayane śanakairvākyamabravīt.

1. Vaiśampāyana said: Then, at the appropriate time, Satyavatī, while gently settling her daughter-in-law—who had just bathed after her menstrual period—onto the bed, slowly spoke these words.

1. וַישַׁמְפָּאיַנַה אמר, אחר כך סַטְיַוַטִי, בעת המתאימה, כשכלתה כבר טבלה אחרי הווסת והייתה בימי הפוריות, הובילה אותה אל המיטה ואמרה לה לאט.
