दुर्गा-सप्तशती       durgā-saptaśatī - chapter-8, verse-49

स चापि गदया दैत्यः सर्वा एवाहनत् पृथक् ।
मातः कोपसमाविष्टो रक्तबीजो महासुरः ॥४९॥
49. sa cāpi gadayā daityaḥ sarvā evāhanat pṛthak .
mātaḥ kopasamāviṣṭo raktabījo mahāsuraḥ.
49. sa ca api gadayā daityaḥ sarvā eva ahanat pṛthak
mātaḥ kopasamāviṣṭaḥ raktabījaḥ mahāsuraḥ
49. O Mother, that demon (daityaḥ), the great demon (mahāsuraḥ) Raktābīja, filled with anger, also struck all of them individually with his mace.
