दुर्गा-सप्तशती       durgā-saptaśatī - chapter-8, verse-40

रक्तबिन्दुर्यदा भूमौ पतत्यस्य शरीरतः ।
समुत्पतति मेदिन्यां तत्प्रमाणो महासुरः ॥४०॥
40. raktabinduryadā bhūmau patatyasya śarīrataḥ .
samutpatati medinyāṃ tatpramāṇo mahāsuraḥ.

40. When a drop of blood falls from his body onto the ground, a great demon of equal size springs up on the earth.
