दुर्गा-सप्तशती       durgā-saptaśatī - chapter-13, verse-41

अग्निष्वात्ताः पितृगणाः प्राचीं रक्षन्तु मे दिशम् ।
तथा बर्हिषदः पान्तु याम्यां ये पितरः स्मृताः ॥४१॥
41. agniṣvāttāḥ pitṛgaṇāḥ prācīṃ rakṣantu me diśam .
tathā barhiṣadaḥ pāntu yāmyāṃ ye pitaraḥ smṛtāḥ.
41. agniṣvāttāḥ pitṛ-gaṇāḥ prācīm rakṣantu me diśam
tathā barhiṣadaḥ pāntu yāmyām ye pitaraḥ smṛtāḥ
41. May the groups of Agniṣvātta ancestors protect my eastern direction. And likewise, may the Barhiṣads protect the southern direction, those ancestors (pitṛs) who are remembered (as dwelling there).
