योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-7, chapter-173, verse-8

शरीरस्य यथा केशनखादिषु यथाग्रहः ।
सर्वात्मनस्तथा काष्ठदृषदादौ तथाग्रहः ॥ ८ ॥
śarīrasya yathā keśanakhādiṣu yathāgrahaḥ ,
sarvātmanastathā kāṣṭhadṛṣadādau tathāgrahaḥ 8
8. śarīrasya yathā keśa-nakha-ādiṣu yathāgrahaḥ |
sarvātmanaḥ tathā kāṣṭha-dṛṣad-ādau tathāgrahaḥ
8. yathā śarīrasya keśa-nakha-ādiṣu yathāgrahaḥ
tathā sarvātmanaḥ kāṣṭha-dṛṣad-ādau tathāgrahaḥ
8. Just as there is an identification (āgraha) with hair, nails, etc., as parts of one's own body, so too for the all-pervading Self (sarvātman), there is such an identification (āgraha) with wood, stone, and other inanimate objects.
