श्रीवसिष्ठ उवाच ।
न चेतना न च जडा सा शिला विपुलोज्ज्वला ।
जातिं जानाति कस्तस्याः कस्तत्रान्यश्च विद्यते ॥ २० ॥

na cetanā na ca jaḍā sā śilā vipulojjvalā ,
jātiṃ jānāti kastasyāḥ kastatrānyaśca vidyate 20

20. Shri Vasishtha said: "That greatly radiant stone is neither conscious nor inert. Who knows its true nature? And who else exists there?"
