दिनैः कतिपयैरेव वारणो विहरन्वने ।
तस्मिन्निपतितः खाते शुष्काब्धाविव पर्वतः ॥ २५ ॥

25. In just a few days, the elephant, while wandering in the forest, plunged into that pit, just as a mountain might fall into a dry ocean.
