अस्ति विन्ध्यवने हस्ती महायूथपयूथपः ।
आगस्त्या शुद्धया बुद्ध्या विन्ध्येनेवोदितः स्वतः ॥ २ ॥

In the Vindhya forest, there lived an elephant, the chief of great herds. He was as if spontaneously brought forth by the Vindhya mountain itself, by means of Agastya's pure wisdom (buddhi).
