योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-5, chapter-21, verse-23

छिन्नतृष्णामहाशाखे चित्तस्थाणौ स्थितिं गते ।
एकरूपतया धैर्यं प्रयाति शतशाखताम् ॥ २३ ॥
chinnatṛṣṇāmahāśākhe cittasthāṇau sthitiṃ gate ,
ekarūpatayā dhairyaṃ prayāti śataśākhatām 23
23. chinnatṛṣṇāmahāśākhe cittasthāṇau sthitim gate
ekarūpatayā dhairyam prayāti śataśākhatām
23. chinnatṛṣṇāmahāśākhe cittasthāṇau sthitim gate (sati),
dhairyam ekarūpatayā śataśākhatām prayāti.
23. When the mind (citta), which is like a stump because its great branches of craving (tṛṣṇā) have been severed, attains a steady state, then fortitude (dhairya) becomes uniform and achieves a multi-branched, extensive state.
