बभूव दारुणं युद्धं शौरिशम्बरयोस्ततः ।
अकाल इव कल्पान्ते समुड्डीनकुलाचलम् ॥ २३ ॥

23. Then, a terrible battle took place between Śauri (Pradyumna) and Śambara, like the end of a cosmic cycle (kalpa) occurring at an untimely time, with even the principal mountains (kulācala) seeming to fly up.

23. אז פרצה מלחמה איומה בין שׁוֹרִי (וִישְׁנוּ) לבין השד שַׁמְבָּרָה, בדומה לקץ העידן הקוסמי שהקדים לבוא, כאשר ההרים השומרים על תבל מועפים באוויר.
