योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-3, chapter-92, verse-31

प्रतिभासार्थतामेति क्षणादेव मनो मुने ।
स्पन्दमात्रात्मकं वारि यथा तुङ्गतरङ्गताम् ॥ ३१ ॥
pratibhāsārthatāmeti kṣaṇādeva mano mune ,
spandamātrātmakaṃ vāri yathā tuṅgataraṅgatām 31

31. O sage, in an instant the mind (manas) attains the state of becoming a perceived object (pratibhāsārthatā), just as water, which is essentially vibration (spandamātrātmaka), becomes high waves.
