janaiḥ vihīnasya kudeśavṛtteḥ anantāni duḥkhāni samullasanti,

Endless sufferings arise for one who is devoid of people and whose livelihood is in an inhospitable land, just as grasses, tangled with a thousand-branched sap, flourish on a mountain during the rainy season.
