योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-3, chapter-118, verse-21

भूमिकासप्तकं चैतद्धीमतामेव गोचरम् ।
न पशुस्थावरादीनां न च म्लेच्छादिचेतसाम् ॥ २१ ॥
bhūmikāsaptakaṃ caitaddhīmatāmeva gocaram ,
na paśusthāvarādīnāṃ na ca mlecchādicetasām 21

21. This seven-stage progression (of spiritual insight) is comprehensible only to the wise; it is not for animals, plants, or similar beings, nor for the minds of barbarians and such.
