वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-7, chapter-61, verse-27

एष वै कैटभस्यार्थे मधुनश्च महाशरः ।
सृष्टो महात्मना तेन वधार्थं दैत्ययोस्तयोः ॥२७॥
27. eṣa vai kaiṭabhasyārthe madhunaśca mahāśaraḥ ,
sṛṣṭo mahātmanā tena vadhārthaṃ daityayostayoḥ.

sṛṣṭaḥ mahātmanā tena vadhārtham daityayoḥ tayoḥ
27. This great arrow was indeed created by that great-souled one for the sake of Kaiṭabha and Madhu, for the purpose of killing those two demons.
