न चाप्यहमनुक्तो वै प्रब्रूयामात्मनो गुणान् ।
काममद्यैव बध्नन्तु सेतुं वानरपुंगवाः ॥१३॥

13. na cāpyahamanukto vai prabrūyāmātmano guṇān ,
kāmamadyaiva badhnantu setuṃ vānarapuṃgavāḥ.

kāmam adya eva badhnantu setum vānarapuṅgavāḥ

13. Indeed, I would not declare my own merits (guṇa) unless prompted. However, let these chief monkeys (vānara) construct the bridge by all means, beginning today itself.
