वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-6, chapter-15, verse-11

अहं सेतुं करिष्यामि विस्तीर्णे वरुणालये ।
पितुः सामर्थ्यमास्थाय तत्त्वमाह महोदधिः ॥११॥
11. ahaṃ setuṃ kariṣyāmi vistīrṇe varuṇālaye ,
pituḥ sāmarthyamāsthāya tattvamāha mahodadhiḥ.
11. aham setum kariṣyāmi vistīrṇe varuṇālaye pituḥ
sāmarthyam āsthāya tattvam āha mahodadhiḥ
11. aham vistīrṇe varuṇālaye setum pituḥ sāmarthyam āsthāya kariṣyāmi.
mahodadhiḥ tattvam āha.
11. I will construct a bridge across this vast abode of Varuṇa (the ocean), relying on my father's inherent ability. The great ocean (mahodadhi) had indeed stated this truth.
