वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-4, chapter-10, verse-7

स्निग्धमेवं ब्रुवाणं मां स तु निर्भर्त्स्य वानरः ।
धिक् त्वामिति च मामुक्त्वा बहु तत्तदुवाच ह ॥७॥
7. snigdhamevaṃ bruvāṇaṃ māṃ sa tu nirbhartsya vānaraḥ ,
dhik tvāmiti ca māmuktvā bahu tattaduvāca ha.
7. snigdham evam bruvāṇam mām saḥ tu nirbhartsya vānaraḥ
dhik tvām iti ca mām uktvā bahu tat tat uvāca ha
7. saḥ vānaraḥ snigdham evam bruvāṇam mām nirbhartsya

7. But that monkey, having harshly rebuked me who was speaking thus affectionately, and having told me 'Shame on you!', indeed said many other things.
