तत्र तामसितापाङ्गीं शोकमोहपरायणाम् ।
निदधे रावणः सीतां मयो मायामिवासुरीम् ॥१३॥

13. tatra tāmasitāpāṅgīṃ śokamohaparāyaṇām ,
nidadhe rāvaṇaḥ sītāṃ mayo māyāmivāsurīm.

13. Ravana placed Sita, who was dark-eyed and immersed in grief and delusion, there, just as Maya (the architect of the asuras) had placed his own demonic magical creation (māyā).
