वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-1, chapter-66, verse-18

तस्य शब्दो महानासीन्निर्घातसमनिस्वनः ।
भूमिकम्पश्च सुमहान्पर्वतस्येव दीर्यतः ॥१८॥
18. tasya śabdo mahānāsīnnirghātasamanisvanaḥ ,
bhūmikampaśca sumahānparvatasyeva dīryataḥ.

18. The sound it made was immense, like the crash of a thunderbolt, and there was also a very great earthquake, as if a mountain were splitting apart.
