वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-1, chapter-66, verse-15

बाढमित्येव तं राजा मुनिश्च समभाषत ।
लीलया स धनुर्मध्ये जग्राह वचनान्मुनेः ॥१५॥
15. bāḍhamityeva taṃ rājā muniśca samabhāṣata ,
līlayā sa dhanurmadhye jagrāha vacanānmuneḥ.
15. bāḍham iti eva tam rājā muniḥ ca samabhāṣata
līlayā saḥ dhanuḥ madhye jagrāha vacanāt muneḥ
15. rājā muniḥ ca tam,
"bāḍham" iti eva samabhāṣata.
saḥ muneḥ vacanāt līlayā dhanuḥ madhye jagrāha.
15. The king and the sage both replied to him, saying, 'So be it.' Then, at the command of the sage, he (Rama) took the bow by its middle with ease.
