मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-120, verse-21

हृष्टाः प्रमुदिता बद्धं समादाय नृपात्मजम् ।
स्वयंवरा च सा कन्या न्यस्ता तेन ततः पुरः ॥२१॥
21. hṛṣṭāḥ pramuditā baddhaṃ samādāya nṛpātmajam .
svayaṃvarā ca sā kanyā nyastā tena tataḥ puraḥ.

21. Delighted and greatly rejoiced, they brought the captive son of the king. And then, that maiden (kanyā), who was to choose her own husband (svayaṃvarā), was placed before him by the King (Viśāla).
