मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-120, verse-2

ततो बभूव संग्रामस्तस्य तैः सह दारुणः ।
एकस्य बहुभिर्भूपैर्भूपपुत्रवरैर्मुने ॥२॥
2. tato babhūva saṃgrāmastasya taiḥ saha dāruṇaḥ .
ekasya bahubhirbhūpairbhūpaputravarairmune.
2. tataḥ babhūva saṃgrāmaḥ tasya taiḥ saha dāruṇaḥ
ekasya bahubhiḥ bhūpaiḥ bhūpaputravaraiḥ mune
2. O sage, then a terrible battle ensued between him (one person) and many kings, along with their excellent sons.
