महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-9, chapter-5, verse-18

द्रौणिरुवाच ।
अयं कुलेन वीर्येण तेजसा यशसा श्रिया ।
सर्वैर्गुणैः समुदितः शल्यो नोऽस्तु चमूपतिः ॥१८॥
18. drauṇiruvāca ,
ayaṁ kulena vīryeṇa tejasā yaśasā śriyā ,
sarvairguṇaiḥ samuditaḥ śalyo no'stu camūpatiḥ.
18. drauṇiḥ uvāca ayam kulena vīryeṇa tejasā yaśasā śriyā
sarvaiḥ guṇaiḥ samuditaḥ śalyaḥ naḥ astu camū-patiḥ
18. drauṇiḥ uvāca: kulena vīryeṇa tejasā yaśasā śriyā sarvaiḥ guṇaiḥ samuditaḥ ayam śalyaḥ naḥ camū-patiḥ astu.
18. Droṇa's son (Drauṇi) said: "May this Śalya be our commander, who is endowed with noble lineage, valor, splendor, fame, glory, and all other qualities."
