महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-6, chapter-87, verse-5

सर्व एव च राजेन्द्र तावका दीनचेतसः ।
सर्पवत्समवेष्टन्त सिंहभीता गजा इव ॥५॥
5. sarva eva ca rājendra tāvakā dīnacetasaḥ ,
sarpavatsamaveṣṭanta siṁhabhītā gajā iva.

sarpavat samaveṣṭanta siṃhabhītāḥ gajāḥ iva
5. rājendra ca tāvakāḥ sarve eva dīnacetasaḥ

5. O King (rājendra), all your low-spirited men coiled up like snakes, just as elephants coil up when terrified by a lion.
