evaṁ vyūḍheṣvanīkeṣu māmakeṣvitareṣu ca ,
ke pūrvaṁ prāharaṁstatra kuravaḥ pāṇḍavāstathā.

Dhṛtarāṣṭra said: 'When the armies were thus arrayed—both mine and the others'—who attacked first there, the Kurus or the Pāṇḍavas?'
