Because of his (deluded) understanding, the son of Dhritarashtra (Duryodhana) believes his objective is secured, and that it is possible to seize the Pandavas' attachment (to their possessions). This is despite having to engage in battle there with Arjuna, who wears the diadem, with the one whose weapon is immense (Bhima), and with one who knows the true nature of warfare.
