महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-23, verse-7

चिरादिदं कुशलं भारतस्य श्रुत्वा राज्ञः कुरुवृद्धस्य सूत ।
मन्ये साक्षाद्दृष्टमहं नरेन्द्रं दृष्ट्वैव त्वां संजय प्रीतियोगात् ॥७॥
7. cirādidaṁ kuśalaṁ bhāratasya; śrutvā rājñaḥ kuruvṛddhasya sūta ,
manye sākṣāddṛṣṭamahaṁ narendraṁ; dṛṣṭvaiva tvāṁ saṁjaya prītiyogāt.
7. cirāt idam kuśalam bhāratasya śrutvā
rājñaḥ kuruvṛddhasya sūta manye
sākṣāt dṛṣṭam aham narendram
dṛṣṭvā eva tvām sañjaya prītiyogāt
7. O Sūta, having heard this report of Bhārata's welfare from the aged Kuru king after a long time, I believe, Sañjaya, that by seeing you, I have directly seen the king himself, due to the connection of my affection.
