महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-23, verse-27

न कर्मणा साधुनैकेन नूनं कर्तुं शक्यं भवतीह संजय ।
सर्वात्मना परिजेतुं वयं चेन्न शक्नुमो धृतराष्ट्रस्य पुत्रम् ॥२७॥
27. na karmaṇā sādhunaikena nūnaṁ; kartuṁ śakyaṁ bhavatīha saṁjaya ,
sarvātmanā parijetuṁ vayaṁ ce;nna śaknumo dhṛtarāṣṭrasya putram.
27. na karmaṇā sādhunā ekena nūnam
kartum śakyam bhavati iha saṃjaya
sarvātmanā parijetum vayam cet
na śaknumaḥ dhṛtarāṣṭrasya putram
27. O Sanjaya, it is certainly not possible here to accomplish anything through a single virtuous action, since we are utterly unable to completely conquer Dhṛtarāṣṭra's son.
