महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-183, verse-12

ततोऽपश्यं पातितो राजसिंह द्विजानष्टौ सूर्यहुताशनाभान् ।
ते मां समन्तात्परिवार्य तस्थुः स्वबाहुभिः परिगृह्याजिमध्ये ॥१२॥
12. tato'paśyaṁ pātito rājasiṁha; dvijānaṣṭau sūryahutāśanābhān ,
te māṁ samantātparivārya tasthuḥ; svabāhubhiḥ parigṛhyājimadhye.

12. Then, O lion among kings, having fallen, I saw eight twice-born (dvija) individuals, radiant like the sun and fire. They surrounded me from all sides and stood holding me with their own arms in the midst of the battle.
