महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-4, chapter-61, verse-8

ततोऽस्त्रमस्त्रेण निवार्य तेषां गाण्डीवधन्वा कुरुपुंगवानाम् ।
संमोहनं शत्रुसहोऽन्यदस्त्रं प्रादुश्चकारैन्द्रिरपारणीयम् ॥८॥
8. tato'stramastreṇa nivārya teṣāṁ; gāṇḍīvadhanvā kurupuṁgavānām ,
saṁmohanaṁ śatrusaho'nyadastraṁ; prāduścakāraindrirapāraṇīyam.

gāṇḍīvadhanvā kurupuṅgavānām
saṃmohanam śatrusahaḥ anyat astram
prāduḥ cakāra aindriḥ apāraṇīyam
8. Then, Arjuna, the wielder of the Gāṇḍīva bow, who was among those foremost Kurus and capable of overcoming enemies, first repelled their weapon with his own. After that, he manifested another irresistible weapon, the saṃmohana (stupefying) weapon.
