महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-4, chapter-61, verse-27

दुर्योधनस्योत्तमरत्नचित्रं चिच्छेद पार्थो मुकुटं शरेण ।
आमन्त्र्य वीरांश्च तथैव मान्यान्गाण्डीवघोषेण विनाद्य लोकान् ॥२७॥
27. duryodhanasyottamaratnacitraṁ; ciccheda pārtho mukuṭaṁ śareṇa ,
āmantrya vīrāṁśca tathaiva mānyā;ngāṇḍīvaghoṣeṇa vinādya lokān.
27. duryodhanasya uttamaratnacitram
ciccheda pārthaḥ mukuṭam śareṇa
āmantrya vīrān ca tathā eva
mānyān gāṇḍīvaghoṣeṇa vinādya lokān
27. With an arrow, Partha (Arjuna) severed Duryodhana's crown, which was adorned with excellent gems. Having then addressed the heroes and the respected elders in the same way, he made the worlds resound with the roar of his Gandiva bow.
